When I visited Salta, I stayed with my friend Sebastian's family in a province called General Guemes, or The General for short. Actually, we stayed in a small neighborhood in Guemes called Naranjita, or the little orange, and I'm betting this is one of the few mentions that place gets on the web, ever.
As we toured around Naranjita, checking out family members and neighbors, we happened on a futbol match just across the stream from us. Then, the moment pictured here happened, and I needed to take the pic. I wonder what the man in the horse drawn cart thought of my miniscule digital video and still camera when I whipped it out of my pocket? I wonder if he knew I was from almost another world than he is from, or if he just turned around to admire my Argentina futbol jersey. Either way, it was sunset, and this guy and his horse set the perfect scene for a memory from Argentina's northern fields.
