If you read this story on MSNBC or Forbes.com and already booked your plane tickets to Rio to see topless women, I'm here to rain on your parade.
Copacabana is not a topless beach. In fact, it's actually a crime to go topless, not that crime is ever fully under control in Rio. In the course of a full week on the beach during new years, and the travels of 3 very observant males aged 24-32, we saw one 'possibly' topless woman on the beach.
In my book, that qualifies as just as untopless as any other beach in the United States, including such hits as Belmar, New Jersey, North Avenue Beach, Chicago, and Santa Monica, California. So, if you're travelling around looking for the beauty and grace of the naked body, you may want to try closer to home, or France.
I can always count on you to get that gratuitous ass shot. Here's a little somethinsomethin from NYE a few years back.
