I can't get enough of this.
In his UN speech, Chavez spent the first two minutes doing a high-school-esque book review of Noam Chomsky's newest work. Hilarious!
He then turned around and specifically recommended it to, I believe, Kofi Annan. Too much.
gotta hand it to Chavez Nuestro, he is seriously funny in an off-the-cuff kind of way.
I can't believe he kept a straight face when he said "The Devil was here yesterday" to cheers and laughter at the UN assembly. Too muchery. He amost broke, but alas, he did not.
Chomsky's is not the only book recommended by Chavez. Here he is on the Tavis Smiley show holding up Greg Grandin's Empire's Workshop, saying it provides an "answer to what is happening today in Latin America." It starts at 37:22 on the "extended interview" link: http://www.pbs.org/kcet/tavissmiley/archive/200609/20060922.html
